Seit ihrem ersten Animationsfilm 1998 spielen die DreamWorks Animation Studios in der Top-Liga der Animationsstudios Hollywoods mit. «Shrek 2» aus dem Jahr 2004 und «How to Train Your Dragon» aus dem Jahr 2010 zählen zu den erfolgreichsten Animationsfilmen überhaupt.
Am Wochenende vom 10./12. Januar 2025 zeigen wir im Rahmen eines DreamWorks-Animation-Wochenendes beide Filme im Konzertsaal. Während «How to Train Your Dragon» beziehungsweise «Shrek 2» in den schillerndsten Farben im KKL Luzern auf Grossleinwand erstrahlen, spielen das City Light Symphony Orchestra und die London Voices unter der Leitung von Kevin Griffiths die mitreissenden Filmmusiken:
